I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor and have been in clinical practice since 1992. My first career was in medical technology and I worked in clinical microbiology. I returned to school to earn my counseling degree after experiencing the life-changing benefits and personal insight that followed my own psychotherapy.

In the Internal Family Systems model of therapy that I use, we like to say that we sell hope for a living. I believe that individuals can heal from their wounds and fears and become better connected to the Self they were born to be.
Because of our collaborative work together, clients bring new understandings to their own behavior, their relationships and their work.
I counsel individuals and couples to help them build the emotional strength and assertiveness to live more authentically. I provide therapy for major life issues such as depression, anxiety, divorce, relationship and family crisis. I also help people to improve communication and connection and to move toward the goals they desire.
I have presented over 100 seminars and classes on Self-Esteem, Assertiveness, Communication, Parenting, Women’s Issues and other topics for St. Louis Community College, Parents As Teachers, The Gateway National Multiple Sclerosis Society and other local organizations. I mix stories, humor and practical tools to give audiences an enjoyable focus for learning. I am an Assistant Trainer for the Internal Family Systems model of therapy.
